Spring Women's Retreat 1-Day Reset

  • Discover Your Yoga / Yoga-riffic Studio (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

This one day retreat for women is an invitation to awaken and reconnect with the qualities of your own feminine power.

Radiance. Joy. Creativity. Intimacy. Beauty. Power. Vulnerability. Strength. Love.

I lead a lot of weekend and destination yoga retreats and something I hear over and over again from women is “I need to take time for myself more often!” but I also hear “it’s so hard to get away for a weekend because I have young kids/I have to work/ I am too busy.”

The inspiration behind planning this 1-day retreat experience is…well….YOU. The mothers, the care takers, the nurturers, the healers, the teachers and the givers. The women who put everyone else before themselves and forget to remember who they really are behind all the masks that they wear and roles that they play.

This immersive 1-Day Reset Retreat is an invitation to take time for yourself, to slow down, embrace silence, to get quiet and really listen to your own body, mind and hearts desires and needs. A day to refill your well and give yourself time and space to nurture, heal and empower yourself. You’ll take home new tools that will not only support your own self-care regimens, but will help you to support and serve your family, your community, and beyond.

The day will include yoga, meditation, hiking, creative expression, self care practices, healing arts and lunch.

$120 plus hst. ($50 deposit)

Space is limited. Contact Lindsay to register.

Kripalu Yoga

Kripalu Yoga

Kripalu Yoga –(Krih-PAH-Loo)  An elegant interplay of mind, body and energy including mindful physical postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation and relaxing integration.  Kripalu Yoga is a form of Hatha yoga, the most widely practiced style of yoga in the world, and no Kripalu class is ever the same! Intuitively guided, some classes may be more gentle and restorative while others may build a little more heat.  While classes are diverse, you can always expect the emphasis of each practice to be on developing a compassionate witness consciousness, expanding non-judgmental self-awareness, living yoga beyond your mat, and discovering the sweet balance between effort and ease. The result is a systematic release of the layers of stress, revealing physical and mental clarity and well-being. Props, modifications and posture options will be offered so that you can find your own expression of each posture and leave class feeling physically, emotionally and mentally strong, open and relaxed. A great class for beginners and experienced practitioners.

The Yoga-riffic/Discover Your Yoga studio is located at 713289 1st Line ESH, Mono, Ontario just East of the Orangeville Fairgrounds.

Slow Flow- An engaging and mindful vinyasa practice where postures move seamlessly from one to the next. Guided by the breath and sprinkled with creative sequencing and adventurous transitions, this is a strong yet slow physical practice where you will have time in each pose to really explore micro-movements and settle into your own expression of the postures. Classes begin with a centering meditation and end with a restful savasana (relaxation). Students are encouraged to move at their own pace, flirt with their growing edge and let the voice of their bodies guide their practice.

Kaulika Yoga & Pilates Studio is located 57 Mill St N. Downtown Brampton in the old shoe factory. Check out their website for more information.
